Some connections between linear and quadratic dynamics

Abstract: We will consider certain iterated function systems of two linear maps
and the 
associated linear dynamics defined on their (self-similar) attractors. We will
show that under 
certain conditions the dynamics of these systems are conjugate to those on the
corresponding 
quadratic Julia sets (attractors of polynomials of the form z^2+c). Moreover,
the conjugation can be 
extended to a globally quasiconformal map of the Riemann sphere.
