A Ph.D. student position for 4 years, starting from April 2011, is
currently open at the Institute of Geometry at TU Graz. It is planned to
associate this Ph.D. student with the Doctoral College *Discrete
Mathematics* which is funded by the Austrian Science fund.

Persons who are interested in Discrete Mathematics, Geometry, and
Differential Geometry, and who will have concluded their Master degree or
equivalent degree in the next months are very much encouraged to apply.
Topics for a Ph.D. dissertation come e.g. from discrete differential
geometry. Please see the web page of the Institute of Geometry at TU Graz
for more information on our research: http://www.geometrie.tugraz.at
. This
is not a pure research position and also involves some teaching. Please
contact me if you have any questions.

The official announcement appeared on the web page
http://mibla.tugraz.at/10_11/Stk_9/9.html. Applications should be sent
until February 23 to the address specified there (Prof. Wolfgang Ernst,
Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Petersgasse 16, A 8010
Graz, email dekanat.tmtph at tugraz.at).
