Baslik: Equivariant splittings of the tangent bundle of the sphere

Ozet: Let G be a topological group and V be a unitary
representation space of G. The action of G induces an action on the
unit sphere of V as well as on the tangent bundle of this sphere. This
makes the tangent bundle a G-equivariant bundle. In this talk we will
consider the case where G is a finite group and discuss the existence
of the equivariant direct-sum splittings of the tangent bundle of the
unit sphere as well as the existence of the equivariant complex
structures on the resulting subbundles. We shall outline earlier
results on the problem and shall present recent results.
