Degerli Liste Uyeleri;

Yeditepe Universitesi Matematik Bolumu Seminerleri kapsaminda 1 Kasim Sali gunu Sabanci Universitesi Matematik Bolumu Ogretim Gorevlisi Yard. Doc. Dr. Nihat Gokhan Gogus konusmaci olacaktir. Konusma ile ilgili detayli bilgi asagidadir:

Gun: 1 Kasim, Sali, 2pm-3pm.
Yer: Yeditepe Universitesi Matematik Bolumu Seminer Odasi.
Konusmaci: Nihat Gokhan Gogus, Sabanci Universitesi

Baslik : Operator valued mappings and complex analysis

Ozet: Recently quite a few papers are written about harmonic mappings which
take their values in infinite dimensional spaces. Recently P. Enflo and L.
Smithies completely described harmonic compact operator-valued functions
by having harmonic diagonal matrix coe¢ cients in any choice of basis. Us-
ing this characterization they provided an analog of Harnack's theorem for
compact operator-valued harmonic functions. Later E. Jorda extended the
Harnack's theorem to non-decreasing harmonic functions with values in an
arbitrary family of bounded linear self-adjoint operators on a Hilbert space.
In this talk we will give a proof of a slightly more general Harnack's theo-
rem for mappings using the classical approach: First we establish Harnack's
inequality. We will mention a new approach of using various orders on the
class of self-adjoint operators to extend classical results of complex analysis
to operator valued mappings.
