Subject: Invitation to contribute to the Encyclopedia of Mathematics wiki
Dear Researcher,
Springer and the European Mathematical Society are pleased to invite you to contribute to the recently launched Encyclopedia of Mathematics wiki. In this exciting collaborative endeavor, the 2002 online Encyclopaedia of Mathematics, containing 8,000 entries and illuminating nearly 50,000 notions in mathematics, has been transformed into a free access resource for the mathematics community.
We hope that mathematicians will find this open content useful and will be motivated to update those topics that fall within their own expertise or add new topics, enabling this wiki to become the most trusted, comprehensive resource for those working, studying or simply interested in the field of mathematics.
Why contribute?
a.. Introduce non-specialists to your research area
b.. Ensure difficult topics are accessible to students
c.. Help to build a truly comprehensive and trustworthy mathematics resource
d.. Support an open initiative
Special features:
a.. All articles are managed by a prestigious and active editorial board, under management of the European Mathematical Society
b.. New content and changes to existing articles will come under the most unlimited CC Share Alike License
c.. MediaWiki software allows input directly in TeX or LaTeX
d.. Uses MathJax extension, enabling what is currently the best possible display of mathematics online
Read and contribute to this comprehensive mathematics wiki now!
Please feel free to forward this email to your colleagues.
Best Regards,
Ulf Rehmann
Editor-in-Chief
Editorial Board
