Dear Sirs,

I am Francisco. Treceño Losada, Wood lathe craftsman.

I have a small craft workshop in the province of Valladolid-Spain.

I am working alone and therefore, there is no comparison with an industrial
production.

I am writing to you in order to present my Cones of Apollonius (Dissectible
Cone).

This statue of wood has been rediscovered after the presentation of the
film “Agora” of Alejandro Amenábar.  This movie speaks about Hipatia,
daughter of Teon, mathematical and astronomy.



Since several months now, I dedicate myself to realize only and exclusively
this kind of cones using oak, chestnut and walnut. The achievement of these
pieces is complex and is also requiring a lot of working hours due to the
fact that it’s completely handcrafted.
