Ozet: The concepts of Homology and Cohomology have been developed by a
long list of mathematicians throughout the XXth century. Using Group
Homology and Cohomology as guide and example, we will introduce the
framework of Abelian Categories and Left/Right-exact Additive Functors. For
them, we will define Right/Left Derived Functors. Finally, we will sketch
definition and properties of Derived Categories in order to give a better
perspective about what we have developed.
