Dear Professors,




We are pleased to invite you to participate in the 6th European Congress of Mathematics, which will be held in Kraków (Poland), 2-7 July 2012. 6ECM take place in Krakow (Poland), July 2 - 7, 2012 and is organized by European Mathematical Society, Polish Mathematical Society and Jagiellonian University in Krakow, under honorary patronage of President of Poland. 

6ECM is a quadrennial general mathematical meeting; during the Congress several prestigious  prizes established by the EMS will be awarded. The Congress will also include Mini Symposia, Satelite Thematic Sessions, round table discussions, poster sessions, and a cultural and social programme.
We are also proud to announce that during the Congres the Satelite Thematic Session Quasiconformal mappings and complex dynamical systems (URL address: http://www.6ecm.pl/en/satellites-exhibitions/about-satellite-thematic-sessions-sts;

will be organized . 


"The STS are intended to be similar to the thematic sessions at the national and  bilateral meetings of the mathematical societies. The STS will be held in Kraków, in close time and space proximity of the official 6ECM programme". The web-page with the detailed program of the session as a link to the 6ECM website will be given soon. 
The principal aim of the session is to bring together leading experts in the mentioned fields, with an eye toward setting the agenda for future investigations, especially as relates to applications in allied areas of Mathematical Analysis. A collateral aim is to provide participants with current updates in the subjects covered by the session.

Apr 01, 2012 - registration fee raises

Apr 15, 2012 - second deadline for submission of posters

Apr 30, 2012 - deadline for submission of Satellite Thematic Sessions

Jul 01, 2012 - arrival day

Jul 02, 2012 - opening of 6ECM, beginning of the scientific programme

Jul 06, 2012 - end of the scientific programme

Jul 07, 2012 - excursions and departure day

Scientific programme of 6ECM includes (see http://www.6ecm.pl/en/general-info/announcements/second-announcement for the details): Plenary lectures (1 hour), Invited lectures (45 minutes, in parallel), Satellite Thematic Sessions (2 hours, in parallel), , Mini-symposia (2 hours, in parallel),  Round table/panel discussions (2 hours, in parallel).
