Instructor/Faculty Positions in Mathematics

 

The Department of Mathematical and Natural Sciences as a part of the Faculty of Engineering at Özyeğin University invites applications for instructor/faculty positions in Mathematics starting in September 2013.

Selection will be based on excellent and innovative teaching. Candidates must have a strong commitment to teach undergraduate students, especially in the areas of engineering and business. Depending on the candidate’s research capabilities faculty positions will also be considered. For this, an outstanding research potential is essential. Preference will be given to candidates working in the areas of computational and applied mathematics.

A PhD degree in Mathematics is required. Excellent verbal and communication skills are essential. A complete application includes a cover letter, a current curriculum vitae, a statement of teaching experience and teaching philosophy (and a research statement for faculty position candidates), and a list of at least three professional references with their contact information.  Applicants should clearly indicate the position(s) they apply to.

Özyeğin University is a private (foundation) university located in Istanbul, at the crossroads of Europe and Asia. The language of education is English.
