Are you considering graduate studies in Mathematical Sciences? Florida Atlantic University has an established program offering nationally recognized faculty, small class sizes, and individual mentoring throughout our program. The department offers outstanding opportunities for both master's and doctoral degrees in such areas as Cryptology and Information Security, Dynamical Systems and Control Theory, and  Probability and Statistics as well as six other areas of studies.
Our master's program offers students the option of earning several degrees; Master of Science in Applied Mathematics and Statistics, Master of Science in Teaching and a Master of Science in Mathematics.
Our doctoral program is for students who have a strong desire to perform independent and original research in the Mathematical Sciences. To be accepted to the program, the applicant must have a strong record of work in mathematics.
Qualified full time Ph.D. students may be eligible to receive a Graduate Teaching Assistantship. These assistantships carry a stipend of $7,525 per academic semester and $5,000 per summer semester, a total of $20,050 per year. GTAs also receive 24 credits per year of tuition waivers.
