   Ipek Tuvay, also from MSGSU, will talk this week at the MSGSU mathematics
department's weekly seminar.


Title: A refinement of Alperin's Conjecture

Abstact: In this talk, a refinement of Alperin's Conjecture involving
the blocks of the endomorphism algebra of the permutation module formed by
the cosets of a p-subgroup will be presented. Then the proof of the
conjecture in two
special cases will be given. This is a joint work with Laurence Barker.
