Dear all,

There will be a seminar in Gebze Institute of Technology (GIT) on 20th of
February by Kağan KURŞUNGÖZ (Sabancı Uni) on "Cerny Conjecture and Recent Developments".

Time  and  place:  February 20, at 14:00 in Department of Mathematics,
Building I, Seminar room.

Abstract:

We will state Cerny conjecture concerning synchronizable automata.  This is the longest standing open problem in combinatorial theory of finite automata.  We will follow the survey by Volkov, and give some more recent results, sketching proofs as time allows.  This is a preliminary report on joint work with Hüsnü Yenigün and Kamer Kaya.
