emerging from the mist, like the one on the frontispiece of this book, by
Caspar David Friedrich (Der Wanderer über dem Nebelmeer (1818)): a
suggestion of the mathematical world? I hope some motivated undergraduates
of today will enjoy some of these panoramas."
