*About College of Engineering and Technology, Bikaner*
Judging by the date of establishing year, CET is relatively a new arrival
in the arena of technical institutions. It was established in 2007, as an
autonomous body of Govt. of Rajasthan and approved by AICTE, amid the brown
blooms of desert island, Bikaner. The College has made its mark with its
high standards of teaching and research. Please visit at the following link
to know more about the College and its location.

*About Bikaner*
This city of Bikaner lies on the northern point of the triangle of desert
cities. Bikaner is another royal walled city dating back to 1486 AD. It
was, however, a major trade centre as it stood on the ancient caravan route
which linked central Asia and North India with the Gujarat seaports. The
wealth of its architectural heritage lies in its forts, palaces and
temples. This desert town in the north of the state was founded on 1488 by
Rao Bika, a descendant of Jodha, the founder of Jodhpur. Like many others
in Rajasthan, the old city is surrounded by a high crenulated wall and like
Jaisalmer, it was once an important staging post on the great caravan trade
routes. Bikaner is now becoming more and more popular with travellers. The
main attractions in and around Bikaner are superb Junagarh fort,
international camel research center, camel safaris and 30 kms to the south
is the extraordinary world famous Karni Mata temple where approximately
twenty thousand of holy rats are worshipped. Here is the link if you want
to explore more about the city.
