Üstün yetenekli bir kız çocuğuyla ilgili "Gifted" diye bir film var
vizyonda, Türkiye'de gösterime girdi mi bilmiyorum. Kendisi de bir zamanlar
üstün yetenekli bir çocuk olmuş Izabella Laba'nın (UBC'de prof) film
hakkında bir yazısına denk geldim, paylaşmak istedim:

The impact of having been a prodigy wears off as time goes by. . . . If
there’s any part of it that has stayed with me and echoed through my
research career, it would be the messy part that “Gifted” skips altogether.
Trying out things before you are ready for them. Approaching them without a
guide or a syllabus, just starting somewhere and digging in. Failing.
Failing again. Cutting through the noise. Pushing through embarrassment and
discouraging advice. I still do that. I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t.
