Lisans ve Yüksek Lisans boyunca Cem Tezer'den toplam 7 ders almışım. Vefat
haberini aldığımdan beri o dersleri, o yılları tekrar tekrar düşündüm.

Yüksek Lisans yaparken bir gün bölüm koridorunda bana nasıl olduğumu
sormuştu, ben de şu anda ne olduğunu hatırlamadığım bir zorluktan
bahsetmiştim, o da bana "Bir matematikçi yol ayrımına geldiğinde zor olan
yolu seçer" demişti.

Sonra İngiltere'de Robert Frost'un
"Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference."
dizeleri ile karşılaşınca bunu mutlaka Cem Hoca ile konuşmalıyız diye
düşünmüştüm ama sonra bunu tamamen unutmuşum ve ilk defa bugün hatırladım.

Edebiyatı çok seven hocamızı ben de bir şiirle uğurlamak istedim. Huzur
içinde yatsın.
