Dear Colleagues, 

It is our great pleasure to invite you to the [ http://theicmme.org/ | International Conference on Mathematics and Mathematics Education ] “ Mathematics in İstanbul, Bridge Between Continents” (ICMME-2025) . This event will be held on online or face-to-face (National participants must attend the conference face to face. For international participants, they can attend the conference as a hybrid (online or face-to-face)) September 11-13, 2025 in İstanbul / Turkey by the [ http://www.matder.org.tr/ | Association of Mathematicians ] ( MATDER ) cooperation with [ https://medeniyet.edu.tr/tr | İstanbul Medeniyet University ] . 

The main aim of this conference is to contribute to the development of mathematics, mathematics education, computer science and their applications, and to bring together members of the mathematical community, computer science researchers, interdisciplinary researchers, educators, mathematicians, computer scientists and statisticians from all over the world. The conference will present new results and future challenges, in series of invited and short talks, poster presentations, workshops, and exhibitions. The presentations can be done in English. 

MATDER is an association founded in 1995 by mathematicians in Turkey. Up to now 14 national and 7 international mathematics symposium was organized by MATDER. These meetings have been one of the main national and international conferences. Since the talks in the meetings covers almost all areas of mathematics, mathematics education and engineering mathematics, the conferences have been well attended by mathematicians from academia, ministry of education and engineers as well. The last nine conferences have been held in Nevşehir (ICMME-2024), Denizli (ICMME-2022), Ankara (ICMME-2021), Konya( ICMME-2019), Ordu (ICMME-2018), Şanlıurfa (ICMME-2017), Elazığ (ICMME-2016), Niğde (2015) and Karabük (2014). This year, [ http://www.theicmme.org/ | ICMME-202 ] 5 will be held online or face-to-face in cooperation with [ https://medeniyet.edu.tr/tr | İstanbul Medeniyet University ] . in İstanbul / Turkey on September 11-13, 2025 as an international conference. 

According to the definition included in the 2023 October Associate Professorship Criteria but not in the 2024 March Associate Professorship Criteria, an "International Scientific Conference" is defined as "a conference where scientists from different countries serve on the scientific committee, and the presentations are accepted after a scientific peer-review process." Based on this definition, the conference meets the Associate Professorship criteria. According to the Academic Incentive criteria, more than half of the participants must be foreign. Since conference applications are still ongoing, there is no clear information on this matter yet. For the promotion criteria of many universities, more than half of the scientific committee must consist of foreign members. Our conference meets this requirement. Article 8.b of the associate professorship appointment criteria of the Presidency of the Interuniversity Board states that “(In the organizing committee of the other international/national scientific meeting, there must be an academic representative of the university/institute/scientific institution/branch association officially assigned by the institution/legal entity/decision-making body).” You can access the document required for this condition from this [ https://theicmme.org/docs/Akademisyen%20Temsilcisi_G%C3%B6revlendirme_2025.pdf | link ] 

This year, our conference will include a Mathematics and Art Exhibition. 

Those who want to make the conference presentation language Turkish must prepare the presentation text in English. National participants must attend the conference face to face. For international participants, they can attend the conference as a hybrid (online or face-to-face).
