*Özet: *The goal of the present talk is to give an overview on how
hypergeometric motives allow us to adapt the modular method to study
solutions of the generalized Fermat equation $x^q + y^p + z^r=0$, for new
families of exponents. The approach follows Darmon’s original program on
Rigid local systems.

The "Bilecik Algebra & Number Theory (BANT)" group, founded by the faculty
members of the Department of Algebra and Number Theory at Bilecik Seyh
Edebali University's Faculty of Science, will host its next and the first
seminar of this semester on *Tue, Oct 7, 2025*. The event will be conducted
online via Zoom.

The inaugural speaker will be *Ariel Pacetti*, a faculty member at
University of Aveiro, Portugal. Details of the presentation are provided
