Title: A historical introduction to Grothendieck-Teichmüller theory

Abstract:
Starting with the statement of Belyi's theorem, I will explain how 
Grothendieck-Teichmüller theory was born, then move to a (necessarily 
incomplete) exposition of its main tenets, the already existing results 
and the main conjectures.
