Announcement

Description: A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available in the 
Department of Mathematical Sciences, College of Science, at United Arab 
Emirates University (UAEU). The position is funded by the UAEU Program 
for Advanced Research (UPAR). The appointment is for a period of 12 
months. The position offers a tax-free monthly salary of approximately 
9,000 AED. The research focus is in low-dimensional topology. The 
Postdoctoral Fellow will work under the supervision and guidance of the 
Principal Investigator (PI). The primary objective of the project is to 
establish properties of these invariants and their relationship to the 
topological types of knots, links, and three-manifolds. Research 
progress will be reviewed through regular meetings with the PI.

Minimum Degree: A PhD degree in Low-Dimensional Topology or a closely 
related field.

Qualifications: The successful candidate is expected to have a strong 
background in low-dimensional topology and/or string theory, along with 
advanced computational skills and a proven record of high-quality 
research in the field.

Duties of the Researcher: The Postdoctoral Fellow will work closely with 
the PI to investigate various invariants of links and three-manifolds, 
including quantum invariants, BPS spectra, and reformulated invariants. 
The research is expected to lead to significant theoretical advances in 
understanding the topological properties of knots and three-manifolds 
encoded by these invariants, with a strong emphasis on producing 
original results suitable for publication in high-impact, 
internationally recognized research journals.
