<b>Title</b>: Limits in the Mapping Class Groupoid of Surfaces<br>

<b>Abstract</b>: One way to investigate surfaces is through their triangulations or, equivalently, the dual ribbon graphs (the ‘modular graphs’) and an operation that relates them (the ‘flip’). In this talk, we will discuss the effect of flips on the ‘infinite

 punctures’ of a surface and explore possible ways to take limits of such flips.<br>
