Stability of Travelling Wave Solutions for Nonlinear Dispersive Equations


*Özet:*

Travelling waves are solutions to partial differential equations that move
with constant speed without changing their shape.  In this talk I will
first introduce some of the model equations for waves, which take account
of both nonlinearity and dispersion.  I will then give basic methods and
results concerning the stability of travelling wave solutions of these
equations and present some new results on the subject.
