Dear all,

*Assoc. Prof.* *Ayşe Borat *from Bursa Technical University will give a
talk titled *"* *Contiguity Distance* *”* on November 4th at 17:00. All
interested are invited.

Abstract:

In this talk, we will introduce the contiguity distance which is first
defined by Macias-Virgos and Mosquera-Lois in [1]. We will introduce its
relation with the discrete topological complexity and simplicial LS
category. Moreover, we will talk about how the contiguity distance behaves
under the compositions of simplicial maps and under the barycentric
subdivisions; and mention more properties such as the difference between
contiguity distance of simplicial maps and homotopic distance of their
geometric realisations.

This is a joint work with Mehmetcik Pamuk and Tane Vergili.
