[Turkmath:6388] Invitation to minicourses by three visiting professors from Umea University of Sweden

Dear All, 

As part of the Erasmus academic exchange program, Dr. Alp Yurtsever, Dr. Mehdi Moradi and Dr. Konrad Abramowicz of Umea University of Sweden will be hosted in the Department of Mathematics of İzmir Institute of Technology for the first week of March. In the course of their stay they will give minicourses, the titles of which are 

Dr. Alp Yurtsever: Introduction to Optimization for Data Analysis 
Dr. Mehdi Moradi: Point Processes: Fundamentals and Applications 
Dr. Konrad Abramowicz: Discrete Events Simulation Approach in Practice 

Courses will be between 4-8 March, and will take place in the seminar room of Department of Mathematics of İzmir Institute of Technology. Detailed schedules, and syllabi of courses are in the attached pdf file. 


In addition Dr. Konrad Abramowicz will give a talk intended for a general audience as part of İYTE Sci-Talk series. 

Title: Exploring Data's Depths with Functional Data Analysis 

Date and time: March 6th, 14:30 

Venue: İbrahim Demir Conference Hall, MBG Building
