Değerli Meslektaşlarımız,

Matematiksel fizik, kinetik teori ve optimal taşıma alanlarında yaptığı 
öncü çalışmalardan dolayı 2010 yılında Fields Madalyası ile 
ödüllendirilen ünlü matematikçi Cédric Villani, 24 Mart 2026 Salı günü 
saat 15:00-17:00 arasında Boğaziçi Üniversitesi TB 310, Güney Kampüs'te 
_"Statistics in Its New Glory: From Statistical Physics to Geometric 
Analysis, to Information Theory, to Machine Learning"_ başlıklı bir 
konuşma verecektir.

Söz konusu seminer, İstanbul Matematiksel Bilimler Merkezi'nin davetlisi 
olarak ve Fransa Büyükelçiliği'nin desteği ile gerçekleştirilecektir.

Konuşmaya ait posteri ekte bulabilirsiniz.

Dear Colleagues,

Renowned mathematician Cédric Villani, who was awarded the Fields Medal 
in 2010 for his pioneering contributions to mathematical physics, 
kinetic theory, and optimal transport, will deliver a talk titled 
_"Statistics in Its New Glory: From Statistical Physics to Geometric 
Analysis, to Information Theory, to Machine Learning"_ on Tuesday, March 
24, 2026, between 15:00-17:00 at Boğaziçi University, TB 310, South 
Campus.

The seminar is organized with the support of the Istanbul Center for 
Mathematical Sciences and the Embassy of France.
